IV. Information on the processing on and in connection with our website

1) Visiting our website

When you visit our website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not transmit any other information to us, we only process the personal data that your browser transmits to us. These are:

  • IP address of your system,
  • Date and time (incl. time zone) of your request,
  • Type, content and protocol version of your request (specific page view),
  • Access status (HTTP status code) of our server,
  • Size of our server response in bytes,
  • Website from which the request comes (so-called "referrer"),
  • Your user agent (type, version, operating system used) and
  • The domain you have called up.

We also store this data in log files.

This data is technically necessary for us to display our website, to ensure stability and security and to optimize our offer.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest arises from the purposes mentioned.

We delete this data after seven days at the latest. Any further storage only takes place if the personal data has been deleted or anonymized accordingly; in the case of IP addresses, for example, this is done by shortening them in accordance with data protection regulations.

2) Cookies

We use the following cookies on our website:

cookie_optin

  • Purpose: Selecting and deselecting user cookie management
  • Storage duration: 24 hours
  • Recipient/third-party provider, if applicable: no communication to third-party providers

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your system and through which certain information flows to us. When you visit our website, we draw your attention to the use of cookies by means of a cookie notice that refers to this privacy policy. There you can also consent to the use of cookies.

The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest in the use of technically necessary cookies is to be able to offer you a functional and user-friendly website.

The legal basis for cookies that are not technically necessary is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which may also apply to the transfer to third countries.

You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings.

3) If you contact us by E-Mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we will store the personal data you send us in order to respond to your inquiries.

In the course of transporting or delivering your e-mail, log data is also regularly generated, which also contains, for example, the IP address of the e-mail server you are using. This log data is necessary to ensure the proper operation of our email server and also serves as proof in the event of server problems or security incidents.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest arises from the above-mentioned purposes. If the contact is aimed at concluding a contract or if the contact is made in the context of an existing contractual relationship, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

The data will be deleted when the request has been finally processed, if we are not legally obliged to retain it or if we need the data to fulfill the contract. The log data on our e-mail server will be deleted after seven days at the latest.

4) Social-Media-Plug-ins

We currently use the following social media plug-ins: [Xing, LinkedIn, Instagram]. We use the so-called two-click solution or a technically equivalent solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can recognize the provider of the plug-in by the marking on the box above its initial letter or the logo. We give you the option of communicating directly with the provider of the plug-in via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it will the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online offering. In addition, the data collected when you visit our website is transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the respective providers in Germany, the IP address is anonymized immediately after collection. By activating the plug-in, your personal data is therefore transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (for US providers in the USA). As the plug-in provider collects data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on the grayed-out box.

We have no influence on the data collected and data processing procedures, nor are we aware of the full scope of data collection, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of the data collected by the plug-in provider.

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. We offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users via the plug-ins so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user.

The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest arises from marketing purposes. Insofar as consent is given by clicking on a plug-in, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plug-in provider, your data collected by us will be assigned directly to your existing account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the social media plug-in button, as this will prevent you from being assigned to your profile with the plug-in provider.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the data protection declarations of these providers provided below. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy.

5) Applicant data

If you send us your application, we process the data transmitted to us to fulfill our (pre-)contractual obligations as part of the application process. If your application is successful, we will continue to process the data for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.

The legal bases are Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR and § 26 BDSG. If you voluntarily provide us with special categories of personal data, such as health data or religious affiliation, the additional legal basis is Art. 9 para. 2 lit. b GDPR.

If your application is unsuccessful, we will delete your data after six months at the latest. The data will be stored until then to answer any follow-up questions about the application process and to fulfill our obligations to provide evidence under the AGG. If you withdraw your application, we will delete your data immediately.

6) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service that uses cookies (text files that are stored on your computer) to enable an analysis of your use of the website and to constantly improve our offer and make it more interesting.

If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to a third country. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". As a result, IP addresses are further processed in abbreviated form, so that they cannot be linked to a specific person. If the data collected about you is personally identifiable, it is immediately excluded and the personal data is deleted immediately. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can also click on [Link: javascript:gaoop_analytics_optout();] to set a so-called analytics opt-out cookie, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting data when using this website in the future.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is your consent and thus Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

7) YouTube-Videos

We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering, which are stored on www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. The provider of this service is Google.

The videos are all embedded in "extended data protection mode", i.e. no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos will the data mentioned in the following paragraph be transmitted. We have no influence on this data transfer.

When you visit the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data collected when you visit our website is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to YouTube, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.

The legal basis for the use of YouTube videos is your consent and thus Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
